A Flourishing Harvest Brings Renewed Hope

Since our last update, our maize fields at the Field of Hope continue to flourish. The crops have grown so well that our field workers were forced to begin harvesting earlier, and they will continue through May this year. This plentiful harvest shows us what is possible when hope, hard work, and support come together.

With such a generous harvest, shelling the maize became quite a challenge. Shelling it by hand would've taken our six field workers up to four months to complete. However, with the support of our donors, we were able to provide them with a maize sheller that has made an incredible difference.

The sheller has taken significant strain off our field workers, saved countless hours, and improved both efficiency and quality. What once seemed overwhelming is now manageable. Our workers are now able to fill approximately 20-25 bags of 50kg maize each day. 

This season's harvest is bringing renewed hope and stability to our communities, providing families with steady nourishment and a more secure season ahead.
